Girls Who Explore was created in 2017,
when two adventurous girls set off to see the world together. We originally created our blog as a way for friends and family to follow our journey around the globe. Now it’s a living relic of all the good times we had. As it evolves, we want to show people how travel can be exciting, expansive, safe, and budget-friendly all at the same time. We’ve ventured through jungles, across beaches, and up mountains to take cool pictures and bring home crazy stories. But we’re never home for long. Let the adventures continue.

Hey there! I'm Kim, a born and raised New Yorker who’s 50% city girl, 50% beach bum, and 100% Slytherin. Just kidding (but not really). Happiest in the water or stumbling through a big city with no direction, I'm looking for adventure and to capture and share (with you!) as much of this big blue planet as I can. A writer by profession and bookworm by nature, I hope the stories we share with you will transport you to some of the faraway places we’ve managed to encounter. Be it the coral reefs beneath the oceans or the wintry peaks of ski season, I have a passion for adventure that just won’t quit. Our native wildlife and the landscapes that they call home are what make this planet incredible.
